When K=8 is set, the total number of bands for applying the band offset is 16. The band offset may be applied to the chroma pixels using 8 central bands and 8 side bands. Here, the signals (luma signals) for the luma pixels are the pixels values (for example, intensities) of the luma pixels and are hereinafter referred to as “l(fā)uma signals” for the purpose of convenience of explanation.
