In step S217, the system control unit 50 determines whether or not the movie recording GUI button 702 as illustrated in FIG. 7A has been pressed (touched). If a touch operation is performed on a corresponding region on the touch panel 70a corresponding to the display unit 28, the movie recording GUI button 702 is determined to be pressed. If the system control unit 50 determines that the movie recording GUI button 702 has been pressed (YES in step S217), the processing proceeds to step S218. If the system control unit 50 determines that the movie recording GUI button 702 has not been pressed (NO in step S217), the processing returns to step S214. In other words, the system control unit 50 waits until the second shutter switch 63 or the movie recording GUI button 702 is pressed.
