An effect to be applied to each movie is randomly selected from among slow motion/quick motion/image lag effects. The type of an effect applied to a movie which is under recording is not displayed during recording of the movie. Furthermore, in response to the start of the movie recording of the first chapter, an effect to be applied to all of the four chapters is selected from color filter/brightness combination, aside from slow motion/quick motion/image lag effects.
