摘要

A method of detecting, controlling and managing transmission of a transmitting device within a facility is disclosed. The method involves transmitting information to the transmission device, detecting a response transmission from the transmission device by a least one transmission detection facility, extracting identification information associated with the transmission device in response to the transmitted information; and determining a location of the transmission device based on the response transmission received by the at least one received transmission detection facility, wherein the response transmissions are sorted by the identification information, determining an allowability of the located transmission device with the set area and interacting and manipulating transmission of the detected transmitting device.

What is claimed is:1. A method for managing a transmission device within a set area comprising:receiving, from a source, information regarding the transmission device, wherein said information comprises information regarding said transmission device not being in active communication with said source;polling the transmission device to generate a transmission;detecting the transmission from said transmission device by at least one of a plurality of transmission detection facilities;extracting identification information associated with said transmission device contained in the transmission;determining a location of the transmission device based on said transmission received by the least one transmission detection facilities;monitoring, from information associated with the transmission, the transmission device;processing said information associated with said transmission device, wherein said information includes at least one of: a characteristic of the transmission device, a location information of the transmission device, and a data and communications information of the transmission device, andperforming an action based on the information, wherein the action comprising at least one of: tracking of at least one of: a person and an object associated with the transmission device based on a plurality of transmissions from the transmission device, determining identification information of the transmission device, determining ownership of the transmission device, determining an allowance of the transmission device to operate within said set area, generating an indication of the determination of allowance to operate and generating event notification information, wherein said event notification information includes at least one of: personnel under duress, an emergency medical condition, a call for assistance, a fire, a call for police, and a theft.2. The method of claim 1, wherein said location information includes at least one of: a location of people, inmates, contraband, corrections personnel, visitors, personnel within the set area, equipment, resources, weapons, products, incoming goods, outgoing goods.3. The method of claim 1, wherein said data and communications information, includes at least one of: one-way audio conversions, two-way audio conversations, one-way video transmission, two way video transmission, educational material, medical information, offender management information, and facility security information.4. The method of claim 1, wherein said tracking of the transmission device determining an association between people and objects.5. The method of claim 1, wherein said transmission device is attempting a connection to an available transceiver covering the set area.6. The method of claim 5, wherein said transceiver includes at least one of: a managed access system, a base transceiver station software radio systems, a base station technology, a video server, an educational server, and a communication transceivers.7. The method of claim 1, wherein said actions comprises at least one of: allowing at least one of: audio, video, and data wireless communications, preventing at least one of: audio, video, and data wireless communications, monitoring at least one of: audio, video, and data wireless communications, intercepting at least one of: audio, video, data wireless communications, turning on video cameras, turning off video cameras, activating one of: jamming systems and managing access systems.8. The method of claim 1, wherein said Identification information, includes at least one of: a unique identification information, a MIN, a MEID, an IMEI, a personnel identification, an EIN, an Inmate identifier, an International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) ESN, a Mac address a frequency, a protocol, a period, a time, a time stamp, an angle, a phase, an amplitude, a wave shape, a cell, a band, a rate and an envelope.9. The method of claim 1, further comprising:outputting a characterization of said transmission device.10. The method of claim 1, further comprising:outputting a signal within a frequency band about a frequency of transmission of said transmission device.11. The method of claim 1, further comprising:connecting said transmitting device to a facility for causing said actions related to the transmitting device.12. The method of claim 1, wherein the transmission device comprises one of: a mobile phone, a radio, a weapon, a product, a personal alarm system and a resource.13. The method of claim 1, wherein the facility is at least one of:a central control unit, a centralized command unit, a control center, a decentralize compartmental command, a jamming system, a managed access system, a base transceiver station, a software radio system, a base station technology, a server system, an educational server, a wireless point, a base transceiver station, a software radio system, a base station technology system, a Wi-Fi system, a 3rd party base station technology, a local base station, a cell tower, a pseudo-base station, a 802.11a/b/g/n, wireless access point module, a Wi-Fi access provider, a communications network, a cable network, a satellite network, a wireless network, a telephone network and a communication transceiver.14. The method of claim 1, wherein the actions are based on at least one rule associated with said information.15. A system for managing a transmission device within a set area comprising:a plurality of transmission detection facilities;a transceiver associated with the plurality of transmission detection facilities;a memory including software instruction stored therein; anda processor in communication with the memory and the transceiver, said processor configured to access the software instructions in the memory, wherein the software instructions configure the processor to:receive, from a source, information regarding the transmission device, wherein said information indicating said transimission device is not active communication with the source;output a signal, based on the received information, to the transmission device, said signal requiring the transmission device to provide at least one transmission;detect the at least one transmission by at least one of said plurality of transmission detection facilities;extract information associated with said transmission device contained in said at least at least one transmission;determine a location of the transmission device based on said at least one transmission received by the at least one of said plurality of transmission detection facilities;monitor information associated with said transmission device, wherein said information includes at least one of: location information and data and communications information; andperform an action based on the information, said action comprising at least one of: tracking of at least one of: a person and an object, determining identification information of the transmission device, determining ownership of the transmission device, determining an allowance of the transmission device to operate within a set area, generating an indication of the determination of allowance to operate, and generating event notification information, wherein said event notification information comprises at least one: personnel under duress, an emergency medical condition, a call for assistance, a fire, a call for police, and a theft.16. The system of claim 15, wherein said location information includes a location of at least one of: a person, an inmate, contraband, a corrections personnel, a visitor, a personnel within the set area, an equipment, a resource, a weapon, a product, an incoming goods, and an outgoing goods.17. The system of claim 15, wherein said data and communications information includes at least one of: one-way audio conversations, two-way audio conversations, one-way video transmissions, two-way video transmissions, educational material, medical information, offender management information, and facility security information.18. The system of claim 15, wherein said tracking of the person or object information includes an association between at least one of: said people and said object.19. The system of claim 15, further comprising:connecting said transmitting device to a facility for causing said actions.20. The system of claim 19, wherein said facility for causing said actions comprises at least one of: allowing at least one of: audio, video, data wireless communications, preventing at least one of: audio, video, data wireless communications, monitoring at least one of: audio, video, data wireless communications, intercepting at least one of: audio, video, data wireless communications, turning on a video camera, turning off a video cameras, jamming said transmission device, and managing access to an access system.21. The system of claim 19, wherein the facility is at least one of:a central control unit, a centralized command unit, a control center, a decentralize compartmental command, a jamming system, a managed access system, a base transceiver station, a software radio system, a base station technology, a server system, an educational server, a wireless point, a base transceiver station, a software radio system, a base station technology system, a Wi-Fi system, a 3rd party base station technology, a local base station, a cell tower, a pseudo-base station, a 8.11a/b/g/n, wireless access point module, a Wi-Fi access provider, a communications network, a cable network, a satellite network, a wireless network, a telephone networkand a communication transceiver.22.
