According to an exemplary embodiment, the image display apparatus 100 may be a television (TV), but this is merely an exemplary embodiment, and the image display apparatus 100 may be implemented by an electronic device including a display. For example, the image display apparatus 100 may be implemented by various electronic devices such as a cellular phone, a tablet personal computer (PC), a digital camera, a camcorder, a laptop computer, a desktop PC, an e-book terminal, a digital broadcast terminal, a personal digital assistant (PDA), a portable multimedia player (PMP), a navigation machine, an MP3 player, and a wearable device. In particular, exemplary embodiments may be readily implemented in display apparatuses having a large display, such as a TV, but are not limited thereto. In addition, the image display apparatus 100 may be a stationary or mobile type and may be a digital broadcast receiver capable of receiving a digital broadcast signal.

The image display apparatus 100 may be implemented by not only a flat display apparatus but also a curved display apparatus having a curvature or a flexible display apparatus whose curvature is adjustable. Examples of an output resolution of the image display apparatus 100 may include high definition (HD), full HD, ultra HD, and a higher resolution than ultra HD.
