The voice assistant module 13 can set the priority of selecting the output destination device as follows: 1. Usage state of the device (in use or not in use), 2. Type of a voice output unit used in the device, 3. Position of the device (distance from a user), and 4. Order of the performance of the voice output unit of the device, for example.
More specifically, with respect to “1. Usage state of the device (in use or not in use)”, it is determined whether the device is powered on, for example, and then the device which is powered on and is in use is preferentially used. This is because the output cannot be performed from the device which is not powered on.
With respect to “2. Type of the voice output unit used in the device”, the priority is given to the headset over the speaker when the headset is used. This is because, when the user uses the headset, the user expects the output from the headset.
With respect to “3. Position of the device (distance from a user)”, the distance from the user is classified into rough distance ranges of a short distance (e.g., 0 to 2 m), an intermediate distance (e.g., 2 to 5 m), and a long distance (e.g., 5 m or more), and then the priority is set to Short distance>Intermediate distance>Long distance.
