A solar array module system for generating electric-power, preconfigured to prevent electric blockage of the module when a physical row of solar cells malfunctions. The module includes a matrix of X physical rows and Y columns of solar cells, electrically interconnected in a plain criss-cross matrix. The columns of the physical matrix are divided into a first side, numbering YL columns, and a second side, numbering Y-YL columns. Optionally, the solar array module further includes a power converter connected to the positive side of physical row XT?1 on the second side and to the negative side of physical row XT on the second side. Alternatively, the solar array module further includes a power converter connected to the positive side of the Xth physical row on the first side and to the negative side of the 1st physical row on the first side.
Optionally, at least one of the solar cells is further electrically connected in series to at least one additional said solar cell, to form a serial unit.
