A number of biasing circuits for amplifiers including voltage controlled amplifier is presented. Also a number of field effect transistor circuits include voltage controlled attenuators or voltage controlled processing circuits. Example circuits include modulators, lower distortion variable voltage controlled resistors, sine wave to triangle wave converters, and or servo controlled biasing circuits.

Another embodiment comprises a Vbe multiplier circuit that includes: a transistor with a collector terminal, base terminal, and emitter terminal, wherein the collector terminal of the Vbe multiplier circuit is coupled to a first input terminal of a first amplifier, and wherein the first amplifier includes an output terminal that is coupled to a first terminal of a first resistor. The first resistor includes a second terminal which is coupled to the base of the transistor. The emitter terminal of the transistor is coupled to an input terminal of a second amplifier, wherein the second amplifier includes an output terminal that is coupled to a first terminal of a second resistor. The second resistor includes a second terminal that is coupled to the second terminal of the first resistor and to the base terminal of the transistor. Another embodiment include the Vbe multiplier circuit that when used as a local feedback element for an amplifier substantially includes an exponential relationship that reduces or eliminates distortion (or noise) in a differential pair voltage controlled amplifier.
