The liquid crystal unit 11 includes a liquid crystal panel that displays an image. In this embodiment, a display panel D1 is configured by the liquid crystal unit 11, the driver circuit 12, the backlight unit 13, and the LED 14, but is not limited thereto. For example, the display panel D1 may include an organic light emitting diode (PLED) and a driver circuit (corresponding to the driver circuit 12) that controls driving of the PLED.
The di-play panel D1 may include, for example, an inorganic light emitting diode or a quantum dot light emitting diode (QLED), instead of the PLED. The display panel D1 may include the liquid crystal unit 11 and the driver circuit 12, and may not include the backlight unit 13 and the LED 14.
