FIG. 4M is an example system status screen of the SUI, under an embodiment. The Navigation Bar displays the name of the current site (e.g., “MY HOME”). A “Sites” button will navigate to the list of available sites. If there is only one site, the button will be a “Sign Out” button. An “Arm System” and “Disarm System” button allows the user to arm or disarm the security system, respectively. Arm Status (e.g., “My Home: Disarmed”, “Armed: Doors, Windows & Motion”) appears below the Arm or Disarm button and displays the current state. A Summary Area of the SUI displays relevant status information of the security system. A Timeline shows a scrollable, scalable, historical view of important system activity.
When the Arm System button is pressed or selected, an Action Sheet allows the user to select the arming level. An embodiment includes the following choices: Doors, Windows & Motion; Doors & Windows; Motions Only Cancel arming. FIG. 4N is an example action sheet screen of the SUI, under an embodiment.
If sensors are open while arming, the panel will send a protest message listing the sensors that need to be bypassed. A bypass dialog will display a list of the open sensors to bypass. If more than two sensors have to be bypassed, the first will be named, followed by “and n more sensors are open”. The user can choose to bypass all sensors or cancel the arming process. FIG. 4O is an example sensor bypass screen of the SUI, under an embodiment.
