Methods and systems are described for displaying a user interface associated with a premises management system. The user interface may display a plurality of interfaces, such as an interface for controlling the premises management system. The user interface may support other interfaces for displaying content and controlling devices at a premises. The user interface may display different interfaces using a schedule. The schedule may be determined by a timeline user interface based on user input.

A lighting screen allows the user to view and adjust current settings of one or more lights installed on the location. FIG. 4T is an example lighting screen of the SUI, under an embodiment. All lights for a location are shown in a scrolling list. Current light states are shown and can be switched on or off. The dimmer setting for that light can be adjusted by moving the slider, if applicable.

The timeline allows the user to navigate (using on-screen controls or swiping and pinching) all lighting history available for all lights. The timeline shows light on/off spans and daylight and nighttime curves. The user can return to the current time by tapping the “Now” button.

Server support is provided using numerous different requests. Each would use SSL and contain the user's login credentials (stored by the application on the iPhone) so that the server can be stateless but cache authenticated sessions as an optimization when polls are frequent enough.
