When the pure color picture is a full black picture, i.e., the pure color picture is a pure black picture, the preset region of the display screen emits the least amount of light, so that the display screen has the least influence on the ambient light sensor.
When the electronic device controls the preset region of the display screen to display the predetermined picture, such as a black picture, the light emitted by the preset region may be minimized to enter the ambient light sensor. Thereby, the influence of the display screen on the ambient light sensor can be reduced, and the accuracy of the ambient light sensor detection can be improved.
