In one embodiment, the accessibility module 304 is configured to determine one or more accessibility capabilities of the mobile device. The one or more accessibility capabilities, in certain embodiments, comprises one or more of hardware and software features for altering default functionality of the mobile device to assist a user experience for persons with disabilities. For example, an accessibility capability may comprise a screen reader that vocalizes displayed text (e.g., text-to-speech), speech recognition allowing a user to control a hardware device 102 verbally, a magnifier that increases the displayed size of at least a portion of a graphical user interface displayed on an electronic screen of a hardware device 102, a high-contrast theme or graphical user interface, an enlarged cursor, closed-captioning, mono audio through both channels (e.g., so users with hearing disabilities in one ear won't miss the associated audio channel), sticky keys to assist users who have a difficulty pressing multiple keys at once allowing them to press key combinations one at a time, an alternate keyboard, and/or another feature.
