In the illustrative embodiment of FIG. 8A, transmitted RF signals are transformed using frequency multiplier 809 to obtained transformed RF signals having the same center frequency (e.g., 2f0) as the RF signals obtained by receive antenna 116. Thus, the RF signals being mixed by frequency mixer 812, and subsequently digitized by ADC 816, have the center frequency of 2f0. In other embodiments, instead of transforming transmitted RF signals, the received RF signals may be transformed instead by a frequency divider circuit 801 (shown in FIG. 8E) to obtain transformed RF signals having the same center frequency (e.g., f0) as the transmitted RF signals. In such embodiments, the RF signals being mixed by frequency mixer 812, and subsequently digitized by ADC 816, have the center frequency of f0, which may reduce the cost and/or improve the performance of the frequency mixer 812 and/or ADC 816.
