UEs within a wireless communications system may have different requirements based on an application or deployment scenario. Systems may, therefore, be designed to support multiple wireless communications services. For example, a system may support wireless communication services with certain enhanced reliability and latency targets. However, resource configurations and certain transmission restrictions, for example, may limit the system's ability to achieve such targets.
The described techniques relate to improved methods, systems, devices, and apparatuses that support high-reliability modulation coding scheme (MCS) and logical channel prioritization (LCP) in accordance with various aspects of the present disclosure. Generally, the described techniques provide for transmission of communications data having certain reliability and latency thresholds. For example, a base station and user equipment (UE) may be in communication with each other, and the UE may support the use of low latency services, such as ultra-reliable low latency communications (URLLC). The base station may configure an LCP configuration for each logical channel of a set of logical channels for a UE during a connection procedure with the UE (e.g., radio resource control (RRC) procedure).
