Still referring to FIG. 9, at 1, in accordance with the illustrated example, the SCS/AS 912 sends a Data Delivery Request message, which may include the SCS/AS Identifier, SCS/AS Reference ID, Volume per UE, External Group Identifier or MSISDN or External Group ID and Desired time window, to the SCEF 910. This message may be a modified Background Data Transfer request. The background data transfer request may be modified to include the specific one or more UEs that will be involved in the data transfer(s). The background data transfer request may also be updated to include an indication that the UE(s) involved in the data transfer may be using PSM, eDRX, or other sleep modes, and that the SCS/AS 912 would like to be notified when the UE(s) are available.
