A set of operations is performed to cause a resource accessible to a first set of entities to also be accessible to a member of a second set of entities, where the set of operations, as a result of being executed, causes a processor to create a project to associate with a set of resources, associate a policy that controls access to the set of resources with the projects, associate the resource with the set of resources of the project, and associate the member of the second set of entities with the project. A request is obtained from the member of the second set of entities to access the resource. The member of the second set of entities is determine to be authorized to access the resource based on the policy. The member of the second set of entities is allowed to obtain access to the resource.

The customer A 202A and customer B 202B may be any entities operable to access systems and/or services such as the resource container 216. In embodiments, each of the customers A 202A and B 202B are associated with separate customer accounts of a computing resource service provider that provides one or more resources (e.g., the bucket 222, the table 224, the VM 228, etc.) to its customers and/or provides a resource container service such as the resource container service 106 of FIG. 1 for use by its customers. For example, the customer A 202A may be an owner of “Account 123” with the computing resource service provider and the customer 202B may be an owner of “Account 456” with the computing resource service provider, with each account being allocated different computing resources and potentially being subscribed to different services provided by the computing resource service provider.

The customers may be individuals, groups of individuals, business entities or other organizations that have a business relationship with the computing resource service provider of the various systems and/or services. In an embodiment, the computing resource service provider provides services that may include providing data structures such as the resource container 216.
