The system 200 may comprise a blackout distributor 218 configured to distribute the blackout information to a plurality of blackout nodes 220. The blackout information distributor may message (e.g., based on a schedule, based on triggering events) the blackout manager 216 to determine updates in the blackout information. The blackout distributor 218 may determine one or more of the plurality of blackout nodes associated with blackout information. One or more (or each) of the plurality of blackout nodes may be associated with a corresponding content (e.g., content stream, content channel). The blackout distributor 218 may determine which content is associated with blackout information. The blackout distributor 218 may send the blackout information to a particular node of the plurality of blackout nodes 220 that is associated with the content. For example, blackout information may indicate that a baseball game is to be blocked on ESPN in a region of a country. The blackout distributor 218 may determine a node associated with (e.g., dedicated to) storing blackout information for ESPN. The blackout distributor 218 may transmit the blackout information to the determined node of the plurality of blackout nodes 220.
