In one exemplary configuration, XO manager 108 may initiate operations related to temperature-calibration or a temperature-calibration session of XO 106 based on exemplary triggers or triggering conditions. In one example, initiation of temperature-calibration of XO 106 may be triggered using one or more mechanisms or conditions which will be described in detail in the following sections. In some embodiments, logic for detecting and responding to the trigger conditions according to various triggering mechanisms, for example, based on temperature sensor 114, may be located anywhere on device 100, including within XO manager 108, although such logic is not explicitly illustrated. Skilled persons will understand various techniques for implementing and generating exemplary triggers based on the disclosure herein. Based on a received triggering condition, in one embodiment, XO manager 108 may send a command or logical signal to receiver 102 in order to inform receiver 102 to start searching for and/or receiving wireless signals, such as GNSS signals. In another embodiment, the trigger condition may be used to enable receiver 102 to commence searching/receiving functions.
