摘要

A base station can operate a first serving cell on a licensed carrier frequency and a second serving cell on an unlicensed carrier frequency. The base station can perform a listen before talk (LBT) on the unlicensed carrier frequency for a first time duration. The base station can determine that the unlicensed carrier frequency is free. The base station can transmit an activation command on the first serving cell for receipt by a UE, the activation command being configured to activate the UE to receive transmissions from the base station on the second serving cell. The base station can transmit after determining that the unlicensed carrier frequency is free, a reserve transmission on the unlicensed carrier frequency at least until the base station begins transmission of the activation command on the first serving cell.

In embodiments wherein the resulting downlink control information is determined to be from the monitoring for downlink control information in the second set of CCEs, then the second set of CCEs comprises resource allocation information allocating resources in the second plurality of OFDM symbols in the second time slot. In some embodiments the monitoring for downlink control information in the second set of CCEs is only done when the monitoring for control information in the first set of CCEs in the first slot fails to find any downlink control information therein. Alternatively, in some embodiments wherein the determined resulting downlink control information is from the monitoring for control information in the first set of CCEs within the OFDM symbols in the first time slot, the resource allocation information can comprise resource allocation information prescribing an allocation of resources in another plurality of OFDM symbols that are in a second subframe that occurred immediately prior to the subframe from which the resource allocation information was in.

In various embodiments the determined resulting downlink control information is from monitoring downlink control information in the first set of the CCEs within the first OFDM symbols of the first time slot and wherein the resulting downlink control indication comprises an indication value that indicates that the subframe is a subframe control indication with truncation and indicates a number of symbols in the truncated portion of the subframe.
