As used herein, the term “perceived deficiency” refers to a deficiency that the subject experiences and reports. It is understood that a perceived deficiency may be different from a measured deficiency. For this reason, the solution to the perceived deficiency may be different from solutions provided by solutions that are based on machine learning algorithms applied on data received from multiple users.
As used herein, the term “adjustment” refers to changes made in operational parameters of the hearing aid, after the initial programming thereof.
As used herein, the term “user-initiated input” refers to an initial request/report made by the user through a user interface (such as an app). A non-limited example of an optional user-initiated input is a message delivered through a chat bot (a software application used to conduct chat conversation via text or text-to-speech). Another example of an optional user-initiated input is a selection made by the user from a scroll-down menu of user requests/reports suggested by the app. The content of the user-initiated input may vary based on the specific hearing associated problem encountered by the user. According to some embodiments, the user-initiated input may be related to the operation/function of the hearing aid. According to some embodiments, the user-initiated input may be related to the hearing experience of the user wearing the hearing aid. For example, the user may experience that certain sounds are too loud/penetrating.
