A management server can be used to receive the user activity information and determine when to initiate the storage of a new simulated phishing message in a user account. The determination of when to initiate storage can be configured by an administrator, or can execute automatically.
In some embodiments, the management server receives user activity information and, based on that information, determines when to initiate storage of a simulated phishing email in the user account mailbox. The management server can store credentials for a service account for the purpose of connecting to an application programming interface on a mail server associated with multiple user accounts.
Administrative Orchestration for Simulation Creation
An administrative portal can be provided for the purpose of managing the creation of simulated phishing emails, and delivery of those messages. Configuration on the administrative portal can include user interface controls for how user activity information is used to determine when to initiate storage of the simulated phishing email.
In some embodiments, the simulated phishing emails can be inserted in user inboxes according to a schedule set by an administrator, or as part of a campaign that simultaneously sends a single simulation to a group of users. In other embodiments, the simulated phishing emails can be inserted based on data collected from individual user interactions with previously sent simulated phishing emails.
