A further embodiment of the foregoing latch mechanism, wherein: the latch comprises a mounting portion at one end of the second spring; and the second spring is connected to the body at an opposite end from the mounting portion.
A further embodiment of any of the foregoing latch mechanisms, wherein the mounting portion is positioned between the pad and the first pawl.
A further embodiment of any of the foregoing latch mechanisms, further comprising a second pawl at the second end of the body.
A further embodiment of any of the foregoing latch mechanisms, wherein the first spring and the latch are flat steel components.
A further embodiment of any of the foregoing latch mechanisms, further comprising a brace connected to the mounting bracket and extending over the latch to prevent twisting of the latch.
