In at least one embodiment, an intelligent in-rack pump or compressor unit includes an associated adaptive and intelligent heat exchanger utilizing two-phase fluids. In at least one embodiment, a two-phase fluid may include Novec?, R134a? or other similar working two-phase fluid. In at least one embodiment, a two-phase fluid may be used for heat removal using a direct to chip two-phase cold plate having an evaporator section. In at least one embodiment, such a cold plate may be attached to a GPU, a CPU, or a Switch in a rack. In at least one embodiment, a heat exchanger's associated pump (or compressor unit) utilizes a pump (or compressor) and a condensing unit for release of at least part of heat collected from one or more server components. In at least one embodiment, such a pump or compressor unit is placed in a rack, in a form-factor suited to be within one or more server trays, and may be associated with one or more of a row of server racks. In at least one embodiment, such a pump or compressor unit may cause dissipation of heat within a datacenter from a two-phase fluid flowing through a heat exchanger.
