It is more preferred that X of the A and X of the B be —C(R7)(R8)—, —N(R9)—, or —C(R11)(R12)—C(R13)(R14)—. In this case, R7, R8, R9, R11, R12, R13 and R14 of the A and those of the B may be the same or different.
When X of the A and X of the B are —C(R7)(R8)—, —N(R9)—, or —C(R11)(R12)—C(R13)(R14)—, the repeating core contained in the polymer are the same; therefore, it is believed that a level acting as a charge trap is unlikely to be generated, so that excellent charge transportability and excellent durability are attained.
It is still more preferred that the A and the B be the same, it is yet still more preferred that X be —C(R3)(R4)— in both A and B, and it is particularly preferred that X of the A and X of the B be both —C(R3)(R4)— and the same.
The structure of the repeating unit represented by Formula (12) is not particularly restricted, and examples thereof include the following structures.
