1) metal complexes such as aluminum complexes, beryllium complexes, and zinc complexes;
2) heterocyclic compounds such as oxadiazole derivatives, benzimidazole derivatives, and phenanthroline derivatives;
3) fused aromatic compounds such as carbazole derivatives, anthracene derivatives, phenanthrene derivatives, pyrene derivatives, and chrysene derivatives; and
4) aromatic amine compounds such as triarylamine derivatives, and polycyclic aromatic amine derivatives are used.
(Electron-Transporting Layer)
An electron-transporting layer is a layer which contains a material having a high electron-transporting property. For the electron-transporting layer,
-
- 1) metal complexes such as aluminum complexes, beryllium complexes, and zinc complexes;
- 2) heteroaromatic compounds such as imidazole derivatives, benzimidazole derivatives, azine derivatives, carbazole derivatives, and phenanthroline derivatives; and
- 3) polymer compounds can be used.
(Electron-Injecting Layer)
An electron-injecting layer is a layer which contains a material having a high electron-injecting property. For the electron-injecting layer, metal complex compounds such as lithium (Li), ytterbium (Yb), lithium fluoride (LiF), cesium fluoride (CsF), calcium fluoride (CaF2), and 8-hydroxyquinolinolato-lithium (Liq); alkali metals such as lithium oxide (LiOx); alkaline earth metals; and compounds thereof can be used.
