According to the power converter apparatus of the second embodiment, since the switching circuit apparatuses 1 of FIG. 1 are being provided, it is possible to provide a power converter apparatus having higher withstand voltage performance than that of the prior art, or a power converter apparatus having higher efficiency and lower cost than those of the prior art.

The power converter apparatus according to the second embodiment may be provided with the switching circuit apparatus 1A of FIG. 6, instead of the switching circuit apparatus 1 of FIG. 1.
